It was quite an experience taking a boatride
down what had been the main road of this quaint village left "under
water" when Lake Xolotan expanded due to heavy rainfall dropped by Hurricane
Mitch. This forced the local residents to take up "temporary" lodging
in 2 substandard shelters set up in the middle of a very hot, dusty
desert area on the outskirts of Tipitapa, Nicaragua.
